Airliner wreckage of Flight 93, in storage since 2001, will be buried at National Memorial

For the past 17 years, some of the wreckage of Flight 93 has sat in secure storage as federal investigators investigated the 9/11 terror attacks while the National Park Service readied the memorial site near Shanksville, Somerset County.

Now the remaining wreckage of the Boeing 757 will be returned to the Flight 93 National Memorial in Somerset County later this year. The announcement was made Friday morning by the National Park Service.
